| A message from UCSD's Kaibigang Pilipino:
This year on March 3rd, there is going to be a Kuya/Ate picnic for high school students. At this picnic, you will be able to get a Kuya or Ate from UCSD's Kaibigang Pilipino. Getting a Kuya or Ate involves NO WORK. All you have to do is COME to the picnic. Everything will be provided for you, including FOOD! It gives you the opportunity to network with someone in college. This opportunity is not given to a lot of high school students..(I didn't get to do this when I was in high school =()
Benefits?
Learning the tricks of getting into a college, learning about college life, mentorship, and overall just another friend. The extent of how much you contact each other is up to you. If you only want to e-mail each other or myspace each other that's fine. This is a great opportunity and I encourage you to take a part in it.
I strongly encourage you ALL to attend, especially freshmen, sophomores and juniors. You guys will get a better understanding of the college lifestyle, not just at UCSD, but college lifestyle in general. And it would be awesome if you could support Bayanihan's former President AND UCSD student, Idelle Delapena. It would be a nice way to show that Bayanihan does care about networking with the San Diego community and Filipino organizations other than our own or local ones.

| PCN Tryouts for This Week:
Singers, coreographers and any other additional TALENT you would like to showcase--There are tryouts AGAIN this friday RIGHT after school. Not 4:00, not 3:30.
PCN Practices Next Week:
EVERY single day next week. If you can't make it, please tell an officer IN ADVANCE with a legit excuse. Don't just not show up.
--here is the schedule..
12-6: Actors. And techies so you guys can do floorplans, etc.
2-2:30: Break
2:30-4: Cultural Dance
4-6: Hip-hop

the only PCN related event this week is
Singing tryouts--anyone that would like to sing for PCN and try out a prepared piece, or the American/Filipino National Anthem
Singing tryouts are TOMORROW (Tuesday, February 13) right after school at the lunch tables.
and
Dance PIECE tryouts--any coreographers that would like to try out their own coreography for PCN's hip-hop.
Dance piece tryouts are FRIDAY (February 16)

Thursday @ 3:30 at the lunch tables
you MUST BRING 4 DOLLARS--Jeff Morales is coreographing 2 pieces
Please be punctual and respectful
Do not forget the $4
Acting Auditions:
We are recasting roles because the script has changed.
Be at the area behind the theatre/where the grass area is
It is right after school until you're told to leave
you MUST stay the whole time
Cultural Dance:
Tuesday @ 3:30 at the lunch tables
Since practice is at 3:30: sprint to subway if you're hungry or, better yet, kindly give your money to someone that has offroll so they can buy food for you. Therefore, there is no reason you should not be on time! BE ON TIME!
